Description
20" x 10" x 7"d (or 14" depth when opened. A wooden-framed room with lithographed paper cover folds open at the roof and front to reveal a well-fitted room,with original wall papers and unusual original fabric floor cover to simulate Aubusson carpeting. There is an angled window in each corner with fabric and lace curtains,four lithographs and a mirror with ornate gilt frames,and the room is furnished with white wooden furniture decorated with decoupage,notably an upright piano and jardiniere,and with wooden upholstered furniture with fabric to match the curtains. A wedding party in stylish costumes of the 1917 era include the bride and groom,best man,lady in waiting,and two small all-bisque flower girls. Excellent condition,furnishing and decorations are all original with some minor fading. For the French market,turn of the century.
