Description
13" x 12" x 9". A wooden market stall with
roof,counter and back shelving has ochre painting
with card-stock green roof edged with yellow
striping. The roof is decorated with garlands of
silver tinsel and holiday decorations,and two
small feather trees sit at each end of the stall.
The shelves and counter are chock-filled with
holiday toys,highlighted by a tin penny toy
Polichinelle bank,wooden skis and poles,a box of
pressed cardboard animals,Erzebirge wooden
animals,soft metal figures,and more. A paper mache
man stands at the counter. Excellent
condition,some repaint to the store. Germany,circa
1900,a delightful presentation of a German market
scene at Christmas time with fine old toys and
novelties.
