Description
31" x 16" x 11". The wide wooden store with warm
natural finish that enhances the nicely-grained
wood is highlighted by two detachable store front
windows with rich architectural decorations
including paneling,shaped columns and carved
crests. Those same details are repeated on the
center section of interior shelving which is
flanked by two sets of eight wooden drawers with
tin labels bearing the content names. These
include bon-bons and kaffee, but also rare names
such as "fenchel" (fennel) and "datteln" (old
German word for dates). The walls and floor have
original papers, with the floor designed to appear
as parquet, and there is a matching store
counter,wooden scale with brass trays,rare
convertible chair/ladder,barrels and stoneware
jugs. Excellent condition with fine original
finish, one drawer knob is replaced. Germany, circa
1900,the maker is unknown but the quality of
workmanship and design is most winsome.
