Description
32" x 19" x 17". Wooden doll house rooms with
original bronze-green paint and yellow stenciled
finish,have original wall and floor papers and
ceiling borders; the room fronts are decorated
with fancily-shaped columns. There are three
windows at the back with wooden gilt-edged wooden
valances and lace curtains. Wide double doors with
paneling and elaborate frame on both sides
separate the rooms and are decorated with brass
lion's head trim. The house is furnished as a
hunting lodge. The main room features a golden oak
ensemble in High Victorian including a very
unusually-designed buffet,dessert buffet,hall
mirror with shelf,dining table with detailed
carving of base,and a high settee and two chairs
with maroon. The bedroom presents another set of
oak furniture with inlay striping,including
bed,armoire,night-stand and dresser with white
marble top. There is a ceramic parlor stove,a
silver bird cage,a tin coal hod,various pewter
decorations,and a wooden hat stand with many
hats,including felt flannel Tyrolean style.
Finally,the house is decorated with 15 mounted
animal heads (of pewter or wood) including a wild
boar,and there is a rare and fine German stein set
with pewter lids,and a faux-bear rug on the floor.
The house is peopled with a moustached bisque
gentleman hunter in original flannel Tyrolean
garb,along with his two all-bisque children that
are also in original costumes,three bisque head
doll house ladies in original costumes and another
bisque head boy. Excellent condition throughout.
