Description
25" x 12" x 12". The wooden two room doll house
has three triple-paned windows at the back with
original wooden cornices and opening bottom
windows,The exterior has original ochre-finish
with red-striping,and the base and front columns
are painted brown and ochre with black accents.
The house has original wall and floor papers,open
doorway between the rooms,and an hanging
chandelier in each room. The house has wooden
furniture with warm golden original finish,and
comprises: dining table with built-in extension
leaves,along with matching dessert buffet,little
pedestal table and six chairs. There is a matching
sewing table with fitted interior,and a bedroom
ensemble with mirrored dresser,marble-top mirrored
dressing table,fitted bed,and marble-top
night-stand. Various prints and mirrors hang on
the walls,and the table is set with original
cutlery attached to little napkins,pewter serving
dishes and candle sticks,soft metal basket with
fruit,and there is a soft metal clock on the wall.
Three bisque-head dolls live in the house along
with their painted metal brown dog. Excellent
condition,original wall and floor papers and
exterior finish,curtains are replaced although
cornices are original. Germany,circa 1900,the
house is by Christian Hacker,and the wooden
furniture is by Schneegass & Sohne. A delightful
well-furnished original room box.
