40" x 16" x 18". (03 36"h. if legs attached). The large wooden room box has paint-grained finish on the exterior to simulate wood grain,ochre-painted frame,painted cream walls above the wainscoting and lithographed wall paper below,with textured floor to simulate wood. There is an open doorway between the two rooms,which are furnished with original built-in pieces,namely,in the large room a corner cupboard and shelving,and in the smaller room a glass-top cabinet and two wall-length shelves. The rooms also include a tinplate stove with brass doors and original pans,various tables and benches,and kitchen chairs,and the kitchen is liberally stocked with blue enamel-ware,cutlery in blue tin tray,blue oil lamp,white porcelain with blue lettering include oil and vinegar cruet bottles,lidded canisters with food names,and charming ceramic ware with dainty blue edging and floral trim. A bisque doll with original folklore costume is included. The kitchen has detachable original wooden legs. Germany,circa 1915,attributed to Kindle & Briel. Wonderful bright kitchen with original furnishings,rare corner cabinet,and wonderful state of preservation.
