Description
40" x 16" x 15". The wooden-framed box features
two rooms,with original painted ochre exterior
edged with brown border and red stripe,and with
cream edging on the base and forming the front
pilasters that have bronze green and gold accents.
There are three windows at the back,each with a
rectangular window above a pair of opening windows
below,and with matching cornices with carved
crests. The elaborately-framed interior door has a
painted star design on the bottom panel,and the
top panel is of etched glass. The floor and wall
lithographed papers are original,and there are
beautifully-designed wall borders. Excellent
condition,two water stains on the smaller room
wall paper. Germany,circa 1890,attributed to
Christian Hacker,with original
papers,cornices,original painting,and having
notable etched window on interior door. The actual
