Description
24" x 12" x 9". The charming small grocery store
has natural wooden finish,carved detail in a
classic style with front windowed panels and
steeple-shaped cornices,The wall and floor paper
is original and there is an especially nice border
design of paper. The back wall has built-in
shelving with two sets of six spice drawers
flanking an arched display center. The spice
drawers have applied cardboard printed
labels,There is a matching counter,a brass-stemmed
wall lamp,and a rare wooden ladder that converts
into a chair. Excellent condition. Germany,circa
1900,a duplicate store is shown in Cieslik's
Lexicon des Puppenstuben,page 25 as distributed by
Gebruder Bing. The store is perfectly preserved
and has very rare chair/ladder.
