Description
26" x 13" x 12. The wooden-framed dollhouse in
cream paint with original lithographed paper on
walls and floor has 16 spice drawers with original
silver banner labels having names of spices or
foods including some rare foods such as
"Kastanien" (chestnuts) and "Kummel" (caraway
seeds). The drawers center a display niche with
latticed windows and trim,that matches the design
on the front columns and side shelving. There is
the original wooden counter with metal scale and
brass trays,and a painted tin Maerklin paper
cutter with silver twine holder is included
(marked Made in Germany). Excellent condition,some
typical paint rubs,paper cutter has some scratches
to base paint. Germany,circa 1910,the store in
pencil notated 4097 on the underside,Moritz
