30" x 12" x 13". The two-room wooden dollhouse box
has original brown painted exterior and facade
with gold accented front columns,with three back
windows having painted panes,original
wall-papers,borders and paper floors in different
parquet patterns in each room. There is an open
door-way between the rooms,with a brass curtain
rod that matches the rods on the three windows;
each with non-original silk and lace curtains. The
parlor is furnished with Walterhausen Boulle
furnishings including: buffet with carved bone
columns,spinet piano with three working
keys,drop-front desk with elaborately-fitted
interior,lady's sewing table with interior
contents,and a pedestal round table with four side
chairs and one arm chair with magenta silk
upholstery. The parlor is also decorated with a
ceramic stove,silver soft-metal table with tassel
trim,Boulle hanging clock,and a very rare Boulle
hanging key cabinet. There is an ormolu six-arm
candelabra,set of four early fashion
engravings,ormolu framed prints,miniature gilt
album,and decorative accessories. The bedroom has
7 additional pieces of Walterhausen Boulle
furnishings including a fitted bed with pewter bed
warmer,marble top dressing table,2 marble top
night stands,mirrored armoire and two chairs. An
emerald and opaline glass chandelier highlights
the room,as well as various mirrors and other
accessories. There are 5 bisque dollhouse dolls
including gentleman with moustache,and two tiny
all-bisque dolls,one in fitted gilt metal
carriage. Excellent condition of room box and
furnishings. Germany,circa 1890,the under-base is
pencil lettered in script "No 66" and other
illegible marks. An exceptionally furnished petite
room box with wonderful and rare pieces such as
the Boulle key cabinet and 1840-era fashion
engravings,and superb details such as carved bone
accents on the buffet
