8" (20 cm.) A three-tiered parlor stove that is covered with patterned blue beads to simulated tapestry has a reclining lion coronet and gilded claw feet,faux-ash door and wooden stove pipe. The stove is decorated liberally with embossed gilt papers and the top is removable,presumably for its original use as a candy container. Excellent condition. French,mid-19th century,the elegant parlor stove was presented originally as a "boite de bon-bons" from a luxury Parisian candy store,with later use designed as a doll house furnishing.
