Description
22" x 14" x 14". A pentagonal-shaped kitchen with
open front has original pale rose painted walls
with built-in blue cupboards accented with
aqua-blue and royal blue trim. The floor is
covered with a tiny diamond pattern in alternating
color diamonds of aqua,royal blue and cream. A
wooden open-hearth stove is at the center back
with a built-in chimney; there are two tall open
cupboards,two work tables and four wall shelves.
The kitchen is laden with 37 various pieces of
tinware including pans,funnels,salt box,bowls,and
four rare molds; and there are more than 20 pewter
pieces comprising plates,bowls,and candlestick. An
early German paper mache lady with painted
features,kid body and antique costume stands in
the kitchen. The kitchen bears the Hacker stamp
and the number 166 on the underside,and evidences
the typical Hacker arrangement of pentagonal shape
and open shelves. The kitchen is photographed in
Kohler's book,Christian Hacker. Original finish
throughout with typical rubs and fading.
