Description
12" (30 cm.) Carved wooden donkey posed upon a wooden platform designed to appear as ground cover, detail of mane, ears, hooves and tail, painted muzzle, enamel eyes, and original saddle bags and leather harness. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, late 1700s, attributed to Francesco Gallo who was a modeler at the Royal Porcelain Factory specializing in animals.
