Description
40" x 16" x 17". The wooden-framed room box
features two large rooms with a opening double
door between them that is elaborately-paneled with
wood-grained and accent paints to enhance the
carving,and door frame with defined mantels on
each side; there is elaborate pewter hardware
including hinges. The exterior is painted original
grey with red and black striping and the
flat-front columns are natural finish. All three
windows are set within well-defined wooden frames
with carved cornices and accented panels below.
The floor and walls have original lithographed
papers including ceiling borders. Excellent
condition,some wall paper spotting near floor
edge. Germany,circa 1890,the store is penciled
"218/2" on the underside. Attributed to Christian
Hacker,and with exceptional detail of interior
doorway and windows.
