8" (20 cm.) Paper mache head with rosy
complexion,painted facial features,narrow black
eyes,slightly-smiling expression,grey painted
pate,muslin torso and upper limbs,paper mache
lower limbs with glued-on silk slippers.
Condition: generally excellent. Comments:
China,circa 1920. Value Points:
perfectly-preserved,the doll is wearing its
original silk costume,the tunic with large
embroidered butterfly and the cap decorated with
pom-poms and gilt medallions,and presented in
decorative box with color-lithograph of Chinese
child playing with balloon on its lid,original
label on inside of tunic.
