10" (25 cm.) Porcelain shoulderhead with oval face and slender throat, sculpted black hair captured in a painted gilt snood with ruffled white edging trimmed with gilt and blue berries, painted blue eyes, black and red upper eyeliner, single-stroke brows, accented nostrils, tiny closed mouth, muslin body with stitch-jointing, porcelain lower limbs, painted black shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1860. Value Points: rare coiffure, original body, the doll has six various gowns in cotton and silk. Ex-collection Estelle Johnston.
