Description
13" (33 cm.) All firm-composition,socket head with
sculpted hair in short bobbed fashion with
side-part and painted blue barette,painted blue
upper glancing eyes,fringed lashes,one-stroke
brows,rounded nose,closed mouth with row of
painted teeth,five-piece body with spring-jointing
at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally
excellent,some light craquelure on torso.
Comments: Jessie McCutcheon Raleigh,her doll
company was highly touted when her first dolls
appeared,although they were created for four years
only,1916-1920,making them quite rare today. Value
Points: rare-to-find doll with very stylized
sculpted hair,original finish.
