13" (33 cm.) Solid domed head of paper mache or wood pulp with painted complexion over gesso,flat-cut neck socket that attaches to protruding dowel in torso neck,blue glass inset eyes,painted brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth,defined double chin,composition torso,all-wooden fully-articulated limbs with loose-ball-joints at hips,knees,shoulders and elbows,bare feet. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Sonneberg,circa 1870. Value Points: very rare doll with original finish that is wonderfully-preserved,fully-articulated body,and wearing superb original costume with cutwork and embroidery,matching bonnet.
