16" (41 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-lined
bisque shoulder plate,deposed articulation neck
jointing that allows the head to tllt side to side
and forwards as well as the traditional
swivel,brown glass enamel inset
eyes,eyeliner,painted lashes,feathered
brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed
mouth with outlined lips,ears pierced into the
head,original blonde mohair wig over cork pate,kid
poupee body with shapely torso,gusset-jointing at
elbows,hips and knees,stitched and separated
fingers,original muslin
chemise,pantalets,stockings,along with antique
lavender silk gown trimmed with Alencon lace.
Condition: generally excellent,body especially
clean and sturdy. Comments: circa 1870,the doll
has the articulated neck system deposed by Dehors
in 1866 which allows the head to be moved in a
realistic fashion rather than just rigidly side to
side. Value Points: very beautiful poupee with
rare brown eyes,rare head articulation
system,beautiful fresh body,lovely bisque and
painting.
