27" (69 cm.) Paper mache shoulder head with
slender oval face,elongated throat,sculpted black
hair in wide loops in front of each ear and pulled
behind the ears to form a tightly-braided chignon
at the back,brown painted eyes in defined eye
sockets,black feathered brows,accented
nostrils,closed mouth with primly-set
lips,slender kid body with wooden limbs,painted
flat shoes,lovely early dress and undergarments.
Condition: generally excellent,body has extensive
patching. Comments: Germany,circa 1830. Value
Points: fine grand size,very rare and
beautifully-detailed coiffure,rarer brown
eyes,original body.
