Carved wooden head the unusual dowel-jointed neck that allows the head to nod forward or upright,sculpted facial features,brown painted tiny downcast eyes,closed mouth,blushed cheeks and chin,closed mouth,white soft flannel hair under original coiffe,armature padded body with carved wooden lower legs and forearms. Condition: good,original finish albeit some wear on chin,throat,and nose. Comments: Continental,early 19th century. Value Points: rare construction detail of nodding head,original painted finish,wearing original costume of wealthy Flemish lady.
