26" (66 cm.) Poured wax shoulder head with
honey-tone complexion,hazel-brown glass inset
eyes,accented nostrils,closed mouth,hot-wax
inserted brows,lashes and hair in soft brunette
shade,softly-stuffed muslin body,poured wax lower
limbs with brass grommets,wearing burgundy velvet
boy's best suit with matching cap,shoes and
socks,ruffled crepe de chine collar. Condition:
generally excellent. Marks: Glover (torso).

Glover,1970s. The doll won a first place blue
ribbon award from 1976 San Francisco UFDC
convention. Value Points: superb workmanship in
the classic tradition with wonderful expression;
June Ellen Lane proclaimed him "superb",naming the
doll "Ruppert".
