15" (38 cm.) Paper mache shoulder head with
elongated throat depicting adult woman,black
sculpted hair waved away from her face and formed
into a coiled chignon at the back,painted blue
eyes,black upper eyeliner,single-stroke
brows,closed mouth with center accent
line,firmly-stuffed pink muslin body with mitten
hands. wearing antique costume with patterned
petticoat,transfer-printed apron,green woolen
embroidered skirt,blouse,fichu,and undergarments.
Condition: generally excellent,nose tip flake.
Comments: Germany,circa 1840. Value Points: rare
coiffure,original finish,unusual and original
body,wonderful old costume.
