20" (51 cm.) Solid domed bisque shoulder head,very pale bisque contrasting plump facial modeling,cobalt blue glass eyes,dark eyeliner,lightly-painted lashes,accented nostrils of small nose,closed mouth with outlined lips,ears pierced into her head,blushed cheeks,original commercial muslin body designed to sit or stand,bisque forearms and hands,brunette human-hair wig in hand-stitched braids. Condition: generally excellent,one thumb tip chipped. Comments: Germany,circa 1870. Value Points: very rare and beautiful early wigged model with cobalt blue eyes,original body,wearing original folklore costume,probably Danish,of velvet and wool with silk trim,undergarments,leather boots. With original frail paper note "Carry" with foreign language notes and date of Dec 18,1870,along with her blue ribbon award from UFDC convention in 1963.
