14" (36 cm.) Paper mache shoulder head with oval-shaped face,very elongated throat and modeled bosom,solid domed head with cut-slit for insertion of wig,painted facial features,blue eyes,upper eyeliner,single-stroke brows,closed mouth with center line,original elaborately-arranged brunette hair with looped braids and arranged curls attached to head slip,slender kid body with wooden lower arms and legs,painted flat green shoes,wearing very frail original gown and undergarments. Condition: generally excellent,original painted finish,little nose rub. Comments: Germany,circa 1830. Value Points: fine original condition,very rare-to-find slit-head model with wonderful original coiffure.
