Description
24" (61 cm.) Paper mache shoulder head of adult
lady with elongated throat and slightly modeled
bosom,black sculpted hair with three wide rows of
horizontal rolled curls at each side of
face,centering an extravagant tightly-woven
"beehive" top knot,painted facial features,defined
eye sockets with blue upper-glancing
eyes,feathered brows,accented nostrils,closed
mouth,red edging stripe on shoulder plate,with
unique body comprising padded muslin over wood and
metal with shapely waist,attached in hinged
fashion to wooden legs with metal bands at the
knee joints,painted black flat shoes,muslin upper
arms,wooden lower arms. Included is her original
pink and white gingham dress. Condition: generally
excellent,some minor craquelure at left side of
shoulder plate,one baby finger tip chipped.
