18" (46 cm.) Poured wax shoulder head of adult
lady with oval slender face and elongated
throat,narrow blue glass enamel inset eyes with
outlined eye sockets,closed mouth with tinted lips
and cheeks,light brown wig of tightly-plaited
double coronet captured under a cap of aqua silk
looped ribbons,muslin softly-stuffed body with
poured wax lower arms and legs in slender
elongated shape,dainty bare feet. Condition:
generally excellent,some typical paint fading of
facial features. Comments: probably English,early
to mid-19th century portrait-like doll with
exquisite coiffure,wearing original frail silk
gown with lace and ribbon trim,matching
leggings,undergarments.
