23" (58 cm.) overall length. 5 1/2" l. head. Pale bisque swivel head with deposed neck articulation allowing the head to nod forward and tilt side-to-side as well as swivel,almond-shaped blue glass enamel inset eyes,dark eyeliner,painted lashes,brush-stroked brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with shaded and outlined lips,pierced ears,bruentte human hiar wig over cork pate,muslin stitch-jointed body with sewn-on stockings and leather shoes,bisque lower arms,costumed in the antique style. Condition: bisque head and shoulderplate excellent,body is antique but not original to the doll,bisque arms are new. Comments: French,circa 1867,with rare neck articulation deposed by Dehors in 1867. Value Points: outstanding beauty of the face with flawless complexion,exquisitely-painted lips,and ability to daintily nod and tilt head. $3000/4000
