24" (61 cm.) Bisque socket head,blue glass
paperweight inset eyes,dark eyeliner,painted
lashes,brush-stroked and feathered brows,accented
nostrils,open mouth,shaded lips,four porcelain
teeth,pierced ears,waist-length wheat-blonde human
hair wig over cork pate,French composition and
wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally
excellent. Marks: Jumeau 230 Paris 11 (incised
mark) Bebe Jumeau Diplome d'Honneur (body).
Comments: from the SFBJ 230 character series,this
early version having the rare incised "Jumeau 230"
signature and earlier body label,circa 1910; the
later versions were marked "SFBJ 230". Value
Points: sweet shy-faced expression with fine
luminous bisque,original signed body,rare early
version of the model,with original wig stamped
"Serie IX",original Jumeau box,and wearing
earlier-period original Jumeau matched
undergarments,Jumeau knit stockings,and leather
shoes signed "Bebe Jumeau Depose".
