13" (33 cm.) Bisque socket head,blue glass inset
eyes,mohair lashes,painted lashes,brush-stroked
and feathered brows,accented nostrils,open
mouth,four porcelain teeth,mohair wig,composition
torso containing clockwork mechanism,one-piece
jointed arms,hinge-attached one-piece legs.
Condition: generally excellent. Marks: SH 1079 dep
Germany 4 1/2. Comments: Roullet et Decamps,circa
1900,with original Simon and Halbig head; when
wound the doll "walks",alternately lifting each
leg in a manner allowing her to propel forward
when gently guided by the playing child. Value
Points: well-functioning mechanism,with original
bisque head and having rare mohair lashes.
