8" (20 cm.) Solid domed bisque head with rich
brown complexion,tinted black baby hair with three
original holes for insertion of mohair black curly
pigtails tied with red silk ribbons,brown glass
sleep eyes,black painted lashes and brows,open
mouth with two tiny lower teeth,brown composition
baby body,cotton print romper suit. Condition:
generally excellent. Marks: AM Germany 351 14/0 K.
Comments: Marseille,circa 1925,included with the
doll is a 1974 hand-written note from doll
historian,Dorothy Coleman,indicating "I have never
seen any with these pigtails before". Value
Points: rare and delightful variation of hair
style on the rarer brown-complexioned baby
marketed as "My Dream Baby".
