39" (99 cm.) All-wooden doll with one-piece carved
head and upper torso,heart-shaped face and very
elongated throat,chip-sculpted brown (originally
black) hair with shaded detail around the face and
painted delicate tendrils of curls in front of
each sculpted ear,the hair arranged in a braided
detail around the crown and having a hole for
insertion of separately sculpted decorative tuck
comb,fully-sculpted ears,painted features,pale
blue painted eyes in well-defined eye
sockets,black upper eyeliner,painted lower
lashes,feathered brows,closed mouth with defined
lips,swivel waist,dowel-jointing at
shoulders,elbows,hips and legs,left hand carved in
a unique style with joined finger and thumb tips
designed to hold an object,painted flat
shoes,Condition: artistically-accomplished
professional repainting of hair and some facial
features,overall excellent condition with some
minor flaking of paint,structurally excellent.
