14" (36 cm.) Bisque socket head,painted facial features,painted downcast blue eyes,single stroke brows,brush-stroked and feathered brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with outlined lips in pouting expression,brunette mohair wig,composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 500 G&H 2. Comments: Erste Steinbacher,circa 1923,the firm was then under the direction of Robert Carl and Gustav Heubach (hence the GH initals); the firm had been in existence since 1900 under various owners. Only two characters have been identified: 500 and 510. Value Points: very rare painted eye character with well-defined pouting expression,original body,wig and costume.
