15" (38 cm.) Felt swivel head with pressed and
painted facial features,green upper-glancing eyes
with glazed highlights,outlined eyes,feathered
brows,closed mouth with center accent line,blushed
cheeks,brunette mohair wig,firmly-stuffed muslin
body with jointing at shoulders and hips.
Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Ronnaug
Petterssen (original paper tag on costume).
Comments: circa 1940,by the Norwegian doll artist.
Value Points: in pristine condition,the doll is
wearing her original vibrant folklore costume of
Sunnmore region of Norway with
beautifully-embroidered
vest,skirt,apron,blouse,cap,stockings and shoes;
included with the doll is her original box,and a
color booklet showing all the dolls available from
the artist.
