17" (43 cm.) Poured wax shoulder head of adult man
with slender face and throat,high forehead and
aquiline nose,blue glass enamel eyes,closed
mouth,sculpted ears,inserted hair wig that is
waved from her face,inserted brows,moustache and
sideburns,slender muslin body with stiffened
canvas lower legs and arms,separated fingers.
Condition: very good,touch-up to nose tip,hair a
bit sparse at forehead,some fraility to ivory
satin of costume. Comments: early 19th century.
Value Points: rare inserted sideburns and
moustache,original body and wearing wonderful
original court costume with embroidered detail on
purple silk jacket cuffs and vest.
