9.5" (23 cm.) One-piece bisque head and torso of
plump-tummy baby,solid dome with painted brown
brush-stroked hair,painted blue upper-glancing
eyes,red and black upper eyeliner,feathered
brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with accent
line between the shaded lips,double
chin,loop-jointed bisque arms and legs in bent
baby pose. Condition: generally excellent. Marks:
(heart symbol) 425 23 Made in Germany. Comments:
Bahr and Proschild,circa 1915,the model was part
of the "Herz" (heart) series,and appeared with
classic composition bodies as well as in this
rarer all-bisque version. Value Points: rare
large all-bisque with highly-characterized expression.
