Description
17" (43 cm.) Bisque shoulder head of adult lady
with elongated throat,well-defined throat hollow
and modeled bosom,sculpted hair in center-part,her
hair waved behind her sculpted ears and captured
in two rows of narrow braids that circle her head;
at her crown there is a small open cap designed
for placement of an actual wig or wig extension
which herein are brunette human hair curls that
exactly match the painted hair. The doll has brown
glass eyes,painted lashes and brows,accented
nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with
tentative smile and suggestion of teeth,impressed
cheek dimples,kid lady body with
gusset-jointing,bisque lower arms with sculpted
hands,ivory silk gown,undergarments,leather shoes.
Condition: generally excellent. Comments:
Germany,circa 1870. Value Points: very rare model
with uniquely designed coiffure,rare brown color
hair with decorative glaze and
combmarks,beautifully-sculpted smiling face with
impressed dimples. The doll has a blue ribbon
award from UFDC 1994 convention.
