20" (51 cm.) Bisque shoulder head of adult lady
with slender face and elongated throat,sculpted
wheat-blonde hair with an elaborate cluster of
curls at her forehead and deeply-looping curls
drawn away from her face and decorated with a
black bow at her crown and interwoven black
ribbons,painted blue eyes,rd and black upper
eyeliner,single-stroke brows,accented nostrils and
eye corners,closed mouth with center accent
line,sculpted Dresden collar ruffle in shaded blue
with centered bow,pierced ears,old muslin body
with carved wooden lower arms and legs,painted
boots,lovely gown in the antique style and
undergarments. Condition: generally excellent.
Marks: (old pencil script "ib/uo" on inside
shoulder plate). Comments; Germany,circa 1870.
Value Points: rare hair color and
coiffure,elaborate Dresden collar. $1200/1500
