13" (33 cm.) Bisque socket head with flattened
solid dome,brown glass eyes,painted curly
lashes,feathered brows,rose-blushed eye shadow and
cheeks,accented eye corners and nostrils,pierced
ears,closed mouth with outlined lips,blonde mohair
wig,composition and wooden fully-jointed body with
unusual body construction of attached
ball-joints,straight wrist,nicely-costumed in the
antique style. Condition: generally excellent.
Marks: 5. Comments: Sonneberg,circa 1885,the doll
was designed to compete with the popular French
bebe of that era. Value Points: charming closed
mouth doll with lovely complexion,original body
and body finish.
