3 1/4" (8 cm.) All-wooden doll with one-piece
carved head and torso,painted black hair with
shaded stippled detail around the face and a
sculpted yellow tuck comb at her crown,painted
facial features,dowel-jointing at
shoulders,elbows,hips and knees,painted flat red
shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments:
Grodnertal,circa 1840. Value Points:
wonderfully-preserved tiny wooden doll has fine
original painting and is wearing her original
early dress of transfer-patterned cotton.
