36" (91 cm.) Felt swivel head with pressed and
painted facial features,narrow side-glancing eyes
with tiny black irises and grey tinted
sockets,fringed lashes and curvy brows,accented
nostrils,closed mouth with beaming smile,row of
painted teeth,coral lower lip,red mohair bobbed
wig,slender elongated felt torso,stitch-jointed
arms and elongated legs. Condition: generally
excellent. Comments: Lenci,the model appeared in
their 1925/1926 catalog as #186,and was shown as a
partner to the following doll in this
book,"Sonja". Value Points: wonderfully-preserved
condition of the early model with
superbly-detailed vibrant costume in Russian
folklore style,having brilliant green felt jacket
that is richly appliqued on front,back and
sleeves,with braided ties,yellow tunic,black short
pants,wonderful high leather boots with rich
embroidery,white gloves,brown cap with black
leather brim,superb facial expression.
