20" (51 cm.) Shoulder head of paper mache with
linen foundation,black sculpted hair in center
part with long ringlet curls all-around,black
enamel inset eyes,painted lashes,single-stroke
brows,rounded nose tip,closed mouth with center
accent line,slender kid body with wooden lower
limbs,painted flat blue shoes,antique gown and
undergarments. Condition: generally excellent.
Comments: American,circa 1860,rare early paper
mache over linen form. Value Points: very rare
doll with beautifully-preserved complexion and
painting,black enamel inset eyes.
