15" (38 cm.) Pale bisque shoulder head with very
slender oval face and elongated throat with
defined hollow,cobalt blue glass inset eyes,heavy
eyelids,dark eyeliner,painted curly
lashes,delicately feathered brows,accented eye
corners and nostrils of elegantly curved
nose,closed mouth with slightly-upturned lips
corners suggesting an enigmatic smile,pierced
ears,brunette mohair wig over cork pate,very firm
kid poupee body with shapely torso,legs and
ankles,bisque arms from above the elbows with
sculpted fingers. Condition: generally excellent.
Marks: E. 2 Depose B (low on front shoulder
plate). Comments: Eugene Constant Barrois,circa
1865,the portrait model closely resembles the
beloved Empress Eugenie of France. Value Points:
