Description
14" (36 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head of adult lady
with heart-shaped face,very elongated
throat,modeled hollows at throat and back
shoulders,defined bosom,painted grey eyes with
black and red upper eyeliner,lightly feathered
brows,aquiline nose with accent dots,closed mouth
with center accent line. shaded brown hair with
striated comb marks is softly-waved away from her
face above the fully-sculpted ears,with one
tumbling curl onto the forehead and a splendid
thickly-braided chignon at the back,with
"run-away" curls onto her nape,stuffed cotton
sateen body with Kister porcelain lower
arms,antique folklore costume. Condition:
generally excellent,one finger tip chipped.
Comments: attributed to Dressel and Kister,circa
1890-. Value Points: very rare model with
outstanding sculpture of hair,compelling serene
expression.
