facial model,blue glass spiral-threaded inset eyes
with dark eye iris rims,dark
eyeliner,delicately-painted lashes,mauve-blushed
eye shadow,brush-stroked brows,accented nostrils
and eye corners,closed mouth with defined space
between the pale outlined lips,pierced
ears,lambswool wig over cork pate,French
composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed
body with flat-cut derriere,lovely old
costume,jewelry,undergarments,black kidskin shoes
signed "P" in script and "0",antique woven bonnet.
Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Sch (in
shield on head and derriere) 0 (head). Comments:
Schmitt et Fils,circa 1882,the facial model is a
transitional from round-face to pear-shaped face.
Value Points: especially beautiful model with
splendid eyes,original signed body,lovely
bisque,the doll was featured on the cover of Doll
