16" (41 cm.) Bisque socket head with slightly-elongated throat and face representing an older child,small blue glass sleep eyes,painted lashes,short feathered brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with accent line between the lips,pierced ears,blonde mohair wig,composition and wooden ball-jointed body with very slender and elongated torso and limbs,beautifully-shaped hands,antique Swedish folklore costume,accessories,undergarments,shoes and stockings. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 1478 S&H 4. Comments: Simon and Halbig,circa 1900,the doll closely resembles the IV model by that same firm. Value Points: very rare model with most beautiful and expressive features,lovely bisque and sculpting,rare body style with original finish. $5000/7500
