18" (46 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate,brown sculpted hair with deeply-incised comb-marks,waved away from her face and captured at the back in a cluster of ringlet curls which are actually detachable,cobalt blue glass inset eyes,painted lashes,feathered brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with accent line between the lips,pierced ears,muslin stitch-jointed body. Condition: there is restoration at the bottom tips of ringlet curls on detachable hair piece,otherwise excellent. Comments: attributed to Kling,circa 1875,Germany. Value Points: very rare sculpted hair lady with most beautiful expression,exquisite antique silk gown and jewelry,watch,blue silk slippers. The doll has three blue ribbon awards including 2004 UFDC national convention.
