12" (30 cm.) Carved wooden head with oval heart-shaped face,darkened complexion with yellow
design across the upper forehead that appears to be original,black painted hair with defined
short forehead bangs,and then drawn behind her ears to form a coiled chignon at the back held
by a carved hair pin,painted tiny black eyes,black brows,closed mouth with full lips,all cloth
body. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Chinese Door of Hope mission,circa 1920.
Value Points: well-preserved early model,wearing her original (faded) lavender tunic with blue
sateen lining,white sateen shirt,black under-dress and lavender trousers,with lavender slippers
embroidered with pink edging.
