Bisque shoulder head with black sculpted hair in short boyish fashion,having sculpted curls and stippled-painted curls onto his forehead,painted blue eyes with large black pupils and thick dark eyeliner,painted lashes,feathered brows,closed mouth with outlined lips,kid poupee body with shapely torso,mitten hands,wearing brown velvet gentleman's suit. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French,attributed to Gaultier,circa 1860. Value Points: rare painted eye poupee with superb painting of eyes including an enhancing decorative glaze on the lower edge of eyes,very sturdy body.
