11" (28 cm.) Terra cotta shoulder head with sculpted unruly grey hair,enamel eyes,painted
brows,large ruddy-tipped nose,ruddy cheeks,closed mouth with sculpted teeth,hemp-wrapped
body,terra cotta hands and feet,with painted green stockings and black shoes with red flaps.
Condition: generally excellent. silk pants are frail. Comments: Neopolitan,early 19th century.
Value Points: most expressive features,depicting a village person,with artistic original
painting,original silk costume.
